Crowds or Lovely People?
After a breathtaking – or should I say breathgiving – long weekend with two magical and touching workshops in Hamburg, Germany, I’m back home in St. Gallen, Switzerland. I feel relaxed, open, available and – no matter how much work or how demanding a job or task – able to appreciate the people around me in their natural greatness and many abilities. In writing this, I just realize that actually includes me… and am smiling…
During the workshop, “Money, Success and Happiness – the Art of Being Wealthy,” I stood in front of those beautiful 83 people, telling them my definition of wealth. Ariel & Shya pointed out to me very lovingly and clearly what a difference it made if I was really there for the moment and available to every single one of those individuals. It was such a touching and sweet experience to take a good look at everyone instead of just standing in front of a nameless crowd with umpteen eyes! I suddenly was able to relate with very great ease and simplicity a little story about a nice night out with my friends on a sailing boat! And I felt comfortable and at ease!
Yesterday, one of the high schools at which I teach piano and singing had its annual student concert, obligatory for all music majors. I was in charge of collecting the pieces for the program, putting the concert together and presenting or emceeing the evening. When I stepped forward and looked around the room, my heart jumped and suddenly I felt really warm and loving, and I looked at the faces in the audience with such an unspectacular ease that I couldn’t stop smiling! I could be just as I was in every moment, sometimes reading some text that I had chosen, at other times spontaneously recounting a story about a song, composer or piece, as if I were having a coffee with a friend on a lovely relaxed afternoon! I truly feel this was a first in my life, being totally myself in a public presenter position!!!! Wow!
What can I say? It was a true moment of wealth! And just one of many since I’ve been back home! So, thank you from my heart, dear Ariel & Shya and all my great friends in Tansformation, for being there and here and everywhere!What a gift there is to share!!Lots of hugs and love,-Ursula
