Being fair to all! from Dani in London, UK

Sunday, May 1st, 2011

daniHi guys,

I had an amazing experience today which I wanted to share with you. We received our electricity bill for our house a week ago and it came in at £677 for the past 3 months. My flatmate Marina came to me and shared with me that she thinks it would be fair if I’d pay more towards the electricity bill than my two flatmates due to the fact that I work from home and use up more electricity than the others due to my laptop and me having the heater on during work. She didn’t say how much she would think it is fair for me to pay, she said pay what you think is fair and that I should consider paying more not because of her opinion but because of my personal development and being fair.

License to Live: What Participants are Saying

“It’s the greatest gift to learn how to take my attention off of myself and take care of others.”

- Andy Schneeflock, Actor/Acting & Creative Writing Teacher

“The License To Live with Ariel and Shya Kane was brilliant! I find that I am no longer lost in my thoughts of fear, worry and complaint. My days have been busier than ever and I am engaged and interested in all that comes my way. How can it be that my students are brilliant before we even finish the lesson? I notice that I’m not fighting with them in my thoughts. Because I am being gentle with myself I am able to be gentle with them. They get to shine and be brilliant and so do I. It feels easy and lovely. The Kanes are master teachers of the art of listening. If one truly listens then there is magic to be experienced everywhere.”

- Susan Finch, Voice and Speech Coach

“The weekend workshop with The Kanes, License to Live, was pure magic. The level of participation and aliveness in my life has become a joyous natural flow. I am, for the first time , experiencing what the Kanes describe as ‘living your life directly’. A foggy haze has been lifted and I am experiencing clarity, creativity, self trust and well being.”

Don’t Miss Being Here!

Tuesday, March 15th, 2011

Dear Friends,

BH_wide-banner_newThank you for helping to make our radio show, Being Here, a top rated show on the 7th Wave Network.  Approximately 4 years after our first show and nearly 200 episodes later we are proud of what we have accomplished. When we step back and take a look at the vast array of topics, conversations, special guests and features we have had on Being Here, we realize what a rich resource our archived episodes are.

Our parent company, Voice America, has recently been revamping its website and in doing so, some of our original connections were lost.  Those of you who had subscribed on iTunes to Being Here will need to re-subscribe in order to continue receiving our show automatically each week.   Haven’t subscribed yet but want to?  No problem!  Below is the link that makes it easy to sign up.  There are new Aps for your iPhone, Blackberry or Android, too.

If you haven’t yet seen the video of what people are saying about Being Here, it is worth a view. Below are some fun items to explore that will give you a sense of the impact the show has made on people and how you can listen & participate.  If you like what you hear, we invite you to share the show on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.

Don’t forget, you can download any of the archived shows and listen to them whenever and wherever you like.

Again, our sincere thanks to all of our listeners and all those of you who have called in with questions over the years for making Being Here such a success.  Also, a heartfelt thanks to our brilliant producer Susan Donlon.  We couldn’t have done it without you!

Hope you tune in with us again.  And remember, “Don’t miss Being Here!”

Warmly,
Ariel and Shya

P.S. Because of Daylight Savings Time, Being Here will be airing at 5pm German time & 4pm in the UK for episodes on March 16th and March 23rd! (more…)

Extending Yourself, from Joe in Brooklyn, NY

Monday, March 7th, 2011

joe-sHey Everyone,

Talking to people about Transformation is not inherently easy for me, but the more I do it, the more natural and effortless it becomes. Some time ago, I invited a coworker to a Monday Night Alive.  He was hesitant and I backed off, not wanting to be too pushy.  But recently I had the impulse to invite him again.  So I acted on it.  I simply emailed him and let him know that I had been attending seminars led by Ariel & Shya for the last few years, and my life has become incredibly fun and satisfying as a result.  I spoke of how productive and satisfied I am at work due to the skills I developed at the workshops, namely, being present and listening to other people from their point of view.  In addition, I provided him with the Kanes’ website and invited him to listen to the radio show and podcasts to get a feel for the Kanes’ work, and to see if it was a fit for him.  I let him know that our colleague Shannon was attending, and I’ve never seen her so brilliant, passionate, and enthusiastic about her life.  He thanked me and replied that he would check out the information and get back to me. Being Right versus Being Alive from Corinne in Switzerland

Monday, December 27th, 2010

Hello my dear friends all over the world,

corinne-gabrielI would like to tell you my experience about being right versus being alive.

For some time I know Ariel & Shya’s work, read their great books a few times, listen to the wonderful radio shows, watch the lively videos of the Premium Excellence Club and so I heard about “being right versus being alive” and I thought a lot about it but couldn’t understand it really. I thought when I’m right why should I give up my right to be right for being alive. I’m alive.

Yesterday I experienced what it meant. (more…)

Andy & The Story Pirates, from Andy in Brooklyn, NY

Monday, October 25th, 2010

Hi Friends,

andyAbout a year ago I auditioned for a theater company here in New York City called The Story Pirates and was cast in their company of actors.  Story Pirates is a theater company made up of actors, teacher, improvisors and comedians and we take stories written by kids and turn them into plays and then perform them for those kids!  It is amazing company to be a part of.  Not only do we perform kids stories, but we go into schools and teach writing workshops all over New York.

Over the past year I became one of their most used actors and teachers, and I owe so much of my many successes with Story Pirates to putting myself into Ariel and Shya’s Transformation Workshops!  Thanks to you both and the support of the amazing Transformational Community I have so many amazing things going on in my life and want to share a couple with you right now.
