Enlightening Funeral

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Dear Friends!

I just came back from a funeral that I attended with my husband Stephan (thanks for being there for me!).  This was the funeral of a former client of mine whose name is Christine and I want to tell you about her:

Christine was sitting in a wheelchair since she was 5 years old, because of amyotaxia (a kind of spasticity, that goes in “waves” through the body so that you can’t really control your movements) and could only walk with the help of other people.  If she wanted to move by herself, she used to crawl on her bottom.  I had been Christine’s physical therapist for several years, before she moved out of her home in Hamburg 5 years ago into her own apartment in the city (she got a job at the zoological institute), where we found a new therapist for her. The opening of the show and some more

Friday, October 9th, 2009

Stefanie LückDearest Friends,

Last Thursday my partner Daniela and I  had the opening for our show – presenting our furniture line “Color in Form” for the first time. It was an awesome, beautiful and successful evening.

Here are some highlights from the evening: The mayor of the town spoke at the introduction, the vice president from the board of trade did the Laudatio and our friend, actress Katharina Abt, did a reading about “Art in the Living room”, which is fun piece itself, but turned into a jewel when Katharina performed it. All three where so heartfelt and brilliant , it added extra spice to the event and we felt very honored.
Stefanie Lück - kidsAlso we had the most yummy and beautiful food catered by our friend Stephan Monzel; people just loved the food and felt happy and taken care of :-) .  And a saxophonist played some beautiful background lounge music (thanks Katja for the contact:-)).
We expected about 80 guests and thought that would be wonderful, since it was summer, the baltic sea is around the corner and the weather was just perfect for the beach. It was perfect for us too – we had a 150 guests:-)) 2 People ordered right away and we have a list of people who are interested in receiving more information and some individual solutions.  A friend with a home-acessories store with a small selection of furniture is interested in selling our furniture and THE local daily newspaper for Hamburg is running a special on furniture for teens soon and part of the article is about our furniture, including a picture and of course all of our contact info :-)

Exciting news from Arne

Friday, August 21st, 2009

Arne HoffmannDear friends,

I want to share some exciting news with you.

After working over 13 years mostly as an actor, I got a new job in Europe’s biggest and most beautiful Spa and Treatment Center near Cologne. The name is Mediterana. For the opening of a new Indian section at the end of August they are building a new team called ‘The Buddha team’ that I am part of. I will be responsible for reception desk, looking after guests, special happenings in the saunas and meditation.

I am also still working on stage; I am playing a very nice part in Pippi Longstocking in a beautiful outside area in the countryside. I auditioned a lot this year for theater jobs and got the most brilliant feedback ever since.

A Transformational Moment!

Friday, June 12th, 2009

Menna de sa BarretoDear Friends,

Hello! I’m in New York, about to attend the Art of Relating this weekend, which I’m very, very excited about!! Meanwhile, I have a little magical moment to share…

When I arrived in New York, I queued up to go through Customs. After taking my fingerprints the guy at the desk started asking me questions: “what is the purpose of your visit?” “how long do you plan to stay in the United States?”…

Now, I must admit, this is a situation (official, stranger, etc..) at when my shyness/holding back would usually kick in and I might lie and say something like: “I’m on vacation.” Because it would just seem easier that way. He would stamp my form, I would take it and no real interaction would be necessary.

My Brother and Me

Monday, May 11th, 2009

Hello to you all!

Corinne GabrielI got a lovely e-mail from my brother after we had been fighting for quite a few months and I’m so happy about it!

The story went like this:

We work together and in recent months we really fought a lot.  I didn’t see my part in it, I just thought that he was so negative and every meeting we had I wished it would be postponed.

But then while I was walking in a beautiful spring meadow, I realized how much I resented him and the situation and how much I fought with him. The next Day we had a meeting and in the first minute, my resentful pattern was still operating, but I saw it and could let go of it.  We had a smooth meeting and got lots of things done. I was very happy and relieved and a day later we had a really lovely talk about business and personal things. It was really wonderful and even better because after the talk he sent me a lovely email!

I’m still so astonished how much transformation affects my surroundings simply by the way I behave.

Thank you Ariel & Shya & all of you for spreading this gift to the world and me.

I wish you a Wonderful Week and Lots of Love,
Corinne Gabriel

A Child’s Lens on Transformation

Friday, April 24th, 2009

Dear Friends,

Jodi & MilanYesterday, I had such an incredible experience sharing Transformation with my son, Milan. I invited him to listen to a podcast with Ariel & Shya, and it was amazing. It had never occurred to me to do so before since the content is primarily for an adult audience, but I was just curious.

I chose the podcast with Stephanie H. called “How to Have It All.” The Kanes presented the possibility that “no two things can occupy the same space at the same time,” that in order to fully have a sense of well being, she could only do one thing at a time. They then went on to discuss different areas of her life. I could really relate.

After it was over, I asked Milan what he thought. I certainly did not expect his answer. He said, “You can’t do two things at the same time, so if I’m playing with Lincoln Logs and I want to go to the museum to see the knights, then I won’t really be playing with my Lincoln Logs because I’ll be thinking about the knights.” (We were about to go the museum shortly after.) It was amazing how he seemed to relate it to his life at 5 years old. He seemed to be able to grasp that when he was doing one thing and thinking about another, it took away from the experience in front of him.

A note about possibility

Cailtin

The Kanes often often often talk about ‘letting the universe support you,’ instead of driving ahead toward reaching something that is yet unattained, but known -
as opposed to letting the universe support you into something great that you may not yet know about!!!

So I am walking down the street and run into a pack of literally 40 or so Labrador Retriever puppies, all wearing vests that say Guide Dog Puppy-in-Training.  Now – I have just written a book that involves laboradors, Guide Dogs, and Search and Rescue Dogs – I am very aware of how astonishingly important these dogs are as service dogs both to the blind and to police and fire departments. They are here today looking for volunteers to raise puppies.

“Breaking the Cycle of Unfulfilling Relationships” An excerpt from How to Create a Magical Relationship, The Three Simple Ideas That Can Instantaneously Transform Your Love Life

Sunday, February 8th, 2009

htcmr2.jpgIf you want to create a working, supportive relationship with another, it is imperative that, you be willing to be complete in the relationship you have with your parents. The dictionary defines complete as “lacking no component part; full; whole; entire.” But what does being incomplete with your parents mean? It is when you are looking to prove them wrong or right for what they did, or didn’t do, or when you endlessly search for their weak points.
