Dearest Friends,

My husband Rainer and I attended the workshops “The Freedom to Breathe” and, over the weekend ”The License to Live”, as well as the “Tuesday Night Alive” here here in Hamburg.

It was so beautiful, sweet, soft, light and easy. I’m in awe of how beautiful and easy Transformation is. Life felt pretty good before the workshops. Things were going well; our businesses had been growing and I could find nothing to complain about. However, since the workshops I have felt like being in a room that someone cleaned the windows. The trees are greener, the flowers are brighter… Life feels so sweet and soft to me, I had no idea that’s possible. It shows up everywhere. Prior to the workshops, things that have been edgy between Rainer and I became softer and we became more loving towards each other. Not only that I am more efficient at work, it’s as if my clients turned to be easier and sweeter to be with even with a tight schedule and a pressing deadline. I just took care of things when they came without stressing myself out. It makes everything so rich and sweet!

One of the things that I discovered from the workshops, how sometimes things felt edgy between Rainer and I was that I wasn’t really listening to him. I wanted to be the one leading, so I’m in charge. I said how we do things and what he had to say was not so important, and it’s not only with Rainer, it’s with my sister, my friends, clients… I want to be “the good kid”, the one with the better story, the better…anything! Along the way over the workshops I gave up wanting to be different, to be over with something, to get rid of or hide things and behaviors I didn’t approve of myself. All of a sudden life was softer, easier and fun to see all the ways the things I didn’t like about myself showed up! I really love the way Ariel and Shya talk about the third principle in the current Article of the month. “Anything you allow to be allows you to be”.

It’s really amazing how much I sometimes forgot or took for granted what a difference Transformation makes in my life, how much my sense of well being deepens and my ability to be in the moment strengthens after the workshops. Things just got smoother and brighter! Just as Benedict mentioned in his recent email that it’s just a huge difference of “knowing” that something is wonderful and of “experiencing” it! I’m really happy and thankful to Ariel and Shya, who made the long trip so we could have them here in Europe to! It was a treat to be with you!

I also want to invite you to share Transformation with your friends. It was such a gift to be with everybody in the courses and saw the difference Transformation makes to everybody who was there. You just never know who will say yes. I met my neighbor Monday night on the street and spontaneously invited her for the Tuesday Night Alive. She couldn’t make it but said she would love to come for the next call. She came on Wednesday to ask how it was and see if I have the date for the next call she can attend. I was so surprised. I mentioned the workshops to her before, but only in a way that we’re chatting about what we’re up to. In my idea of who she is, she wasn’t “the type” to come to a workshop. You never know!

So looking forward to see many of you in Costa Rica or hear you on the next international call.

Love to you all from beautiful, rainy morning,

xoxo

What if a shift in the way you listen made life easier, so that you were more successful at work, in social situations and in your personal relationships? The Art of Listening is a dynamic interactive workshop where you will discover the fundamental keys to effective listening and the barriers that prevent us from having satisfying communication with those around us. This seminar will apply the Principles of Transformation so that the act of listening will naturally and effortlessly expand your ability to access the moment and experience a sense of well-being.

The Kanes’ seminars have made a dramatic impact in my ability to listen. I have a hearing disability. Without my hearing aids, I have only 5% of hearing in one ear and 25% in the other, and with my hearing aids I have about 50% in both ears. When I listen to a conversation I cannot hear every word that is being said, and what I have discovered about listening is that it is not about how much you can hear but about how much you are willing to let in what the other person has to say, without judging it or commenting on it. When you are truly listening magic happens. If you can really hear what a person is saying your judgments on yourself and others disappear and this is a space for transformation, aliveness, and the completion of things. I thank the Kanes for supporting me to move past having a hearing ”disability” into being an effective listener and communicator.

The “Transformation in the Workplace“ workshop was AMAZING this weekend!!!! WOW! Wow! Wow! And did I say wow! Work has been flowing easy today and our staff (even the people that did not attend the workshop) feels in sync. Even our family is “in sync”. My husband (Andy) and I came home last night from the course and our older son, Alex, had worked on a project for school (he is in 4th grade) and he put that Andy was his “Hero”. It was so sweet.

A few hours ago, a recruiter called me to see if she could help me with any of our staffing needs. Her name is Jessica. At first, I thought: I don’t have time to speak with her & who is this person? But I chatted with her for a few minutes and realized there may be ways she can help our company. Then, I found out she works in Manhattan so I invited her to Monday Night Alive! tonight – and she said yes, and while I was on the phone with her she Googled Monday Night Alive and said she was going to register right when we got off the phone…and she did! Neato!

I am truly excited about the next workshop: The Art of Listening because listening is the key to transformation….just simply listening to another person and being with that person. It magically works.

If you are thinking of coming to the next course, just do it! I don’t have to tell you – I am sure you already know….that it starts when you register! : )

Love,
Amy (and Andy)

Hello my dear friends all over the world,

I would like to tell you my experience about being right versus being alive.

For some time I know Ariel & Shya’s work, read their great books a few times, listen to the wonderful radio shows, watch the lively videos of the Premium Excellence Club and so I heard about “being right versus being alive” and I thought a lot about it but couldn’t understand it really. I thought when I’m right why should I give up my right to be right for being alive. I’m alive.

Yesterday I experienced what it meant. On Tuesday I got annoyed about an employee of mine whose name is Kosi, who made a lot of mistakes in the last weeks and again she did something wrong yesterday. I got upset and said out loud that Kosi is not a good worker right now. Other employees were around me, but she was not in the room. Her co-workers went to her and told her that I got upset and that I said bad things about her. I didn’t know that, but when I saw her again, I could feel that she was angry with me and that I hurt her feelings. But I still thought that I was right. I worked and I was not centered but ignored it and thought about the whole story all day and all night. I FELT like I had to say I’m sorry but I THOUGHT I didn’t have to. So the next morning I took all my courage and went up to Kosi and said I’m sorry! She couldn’t take it right away but in the time after the sorry, I felt different, I felt alive. I could feel how my body relaxes and how alive I got. It is hart to describe. But for the first time I realized what it meant to be alive versus being right. I felt it, not thought about it. I really felt it physically, how my body came back to life with smelling the air, feeling the floor under my feet and sensing my body. When I saw Kosi again, she smiled at me! What an experience!

Transformation is wonderful and thank you, Ariel & Shya and all of you for sharing and spreading the gift of transformation. It is something very precious. Lets keep sharing this magic to the world and your self.
I wish you all wonderful holidays and a happy New Year.

With lots of Love,
Corinne

Something became very clear to me at a weekend workshop I recently attended called, The Art of Listening. A significant portion of the participants in the course, more than I’ve seen in a long time, were new people who came in from all over the country. The workshop was vibrant, alive and fresh in a way that was very new and exciting to me!

I had heard it said many times before at other workshops I’ve attended, that the new people attending are the “lifeblood” of Transformation. This time, it became a very real experience for me to hear that. Like all of us at one time, they never knew this possibility existed for them and are intrigued and excited by it. They remind us of how rare it is to discover living in the moment and how we each make a huge difference. Those of us who regularly attend Monday night seminars and workshops “live” transformation as a lifestyle. The new people we invite are the fresh air, spark and fire that keeps it going and reignites the excitement of discovery.

Since the Workshop, I’ve been finding myself frustrated by the lack of new faces at Monday Night Alive! I’ve been sharing my experiences with people and inviting them to the workshops whenever I can. And they’ve been showing up!

I’d like to encourage, even challenge us all to look and see where there are people seeking something in their lives and want to be found. I can’t imagine what this community would be without all the amazing, new people who’ve begun attending workshops this year. I’m inspired to believe that if each of us invites a few more people every week, we can easily have over 100 attendees at Monday nights and on weekends. It’s absolutely within our capability; it can be easy and feed us all. It’s time to look and see what is possible and how many people we can reach.

I thought it would be useful to share my thoughts on “reaching out.” Hopefully it will open you ideas and how you can offer creative suggestions for us to play this game together.

I have five confirmed guests coming this upcoming Monday Night Alive. Even if some may not show up, I’m continuing to invite more people. Today, I invited my chiropractor (who had heard of Ariel and Shya!), the nurse at my doctor’s appointment and I left stack of postcards at the Starbucks near my work. I’ve invited almost every person at my company (including new employees as they show up) and my co-worker Matthew is coming back a second time this Monday and trying to make it to the weekend. I’ve been inviting him for 5 months. I invited my friend on a first date and she loved it and is considering the The Freedom to Breathe and The Art of Being a Healer weekend workshop. If she can’t attend, I’ll encourage her to do the Passion weekend in January. I’ve invited the lady who works two floors above my office at work every time I see her in the elevator. Last week I invited my piano teacher, who checked out the website and the audios. I even offered to reschedule my appointment and give up the last 15 minutes so that we could walk over to Monday Night Alive! together.

Whether in casual conversation with strangers or talking with someone I know, I love to start off a sentence at any point in the conversation with, “Hey, I’m going to a workshop on Monday Night that I think you’d really like. It’s about living in the moment and having more fun and there’s some great people there. You should come!” I get excited when I give Transformation away.

There is a world of chiropractors, nurses, co-workers, and neighbors everywhere who would love to know about this. I’m going to start opening my eyes even wider to find them and make this possibility available. I encourage you to do the same and really go for it to further expand all our lives with amazing people; friends we haven’t met yet.

With Love,
Dave
