December 23rd, 2011

s_p1150605Hi folks,

when I looked through various books of poetry last night, hunting for texts to use in my class, I came across the following poem by E. E. Cummings (from the 1935 manuscript of No Thanks): Read the rest of this entry »

Opportunity presents itself in the ladies’ rest room… from Colleen in New York

December 18th, 2011

Colleen MessinaHi, Friends!

Yesterday at work, I was in the ladies’ room using the facility.  While I was in the stall, I heard a woman sighing over & over again while she was washing her hands.  I thought “that’s a lot of sighing”.  When I exited the stall and went to wash my hands, I asked her how she was doing.  She started to tell me how tired she was and how very busy she is with work, with her family, her five children.  I continued listening as we walked to the kitchen/pantry and by the time we got there we were both engaged in conversation and she even said “but you know, I do love my life”…   It was so much fun to listen to her.   I felt so connected with her and felt like I made a new friend. Give me just one more day, one more opportunity to say “I love you” from Dani in London, UK

December 8th, 2011

daniLife has thought me a big life changing lesson this week, one that went deep under my skin, one that was frightening and one that I won’t forget so quickly.

“You just never know when it’s the last time you speak to someone!”

As most of you already know, I live in London and my family lives back home in Vienna, Austria. My parents are divorced and both my mum and dad live in separate flats on their own. I made an agreement with my parents when I moved to London 9 years ago which was that I would speak to my dad once a week every Saturday and twice a week to my mum, once on Monday and once on Thursday.

Hello Transforming World! from Giovanni in Brooklyn New York

December 3rd, 2011

giovanniLife has been getting richer and juicier and more fruitful!  Something has opened up more around me, and life is sensational and passionate, and touching.

I’m just feeling inspired to say hello to you all, and tell you how fun and sexy and awesome you all are. Very!

I listened to some music this morning, and it was the most deeply engaged listening I’ve ever experienced.  Letting it IN!  Moving around to the music, I felt so “ME”, and it was lovely, and electric, and touching.

I can’t believe what a gift it is, that Freedom to Breathe / The Art of Being a Healer is coming up soon, and I am registered.  That is going to be the best workshop ever.

Thank you all.  What a great thing!

Love,

Gio

An Astounding Adventure! (or, love and thanks from the Schneeflocks) from Leah in Brooklyn, New York

November 30th, 2011

Curney_Leah_LMC_ret_crop

Hi Everyone;

I am writing to let you all know that the play reading of “Mary’s Wedding”, which I acted in and co-produced on November 14th was a HUGE success! I can’t thank you all enough for your support, love, and enthusiasm.  A quick re-cap for those who may not know: a few months ago, a director friend and I decided we wanted to produce a one-night staged reading of this play we really love called “Mary’s Wedding” – we raised the money, we rented a great off-broadway theater, we cast the actors, made posters and programs, invited anyone we could get our hands on, rehearsed and finally performed a brilliant performance for a very enthusiastic crowd of about 60 people on Monday.  The whole thing was an incredibly awesome and transformational experience, which I think is summed up best by the card given to me by my incredible husband, Andy.  As he and I enjoyed Mexican food after the performance, he gave me a card with this quote on the front. It read in big bold lettering:

“If we did all the things we are capable of doing we would literally astound ourselves” – Thomas Edison

This was my experience of the reading on Monday and, thanks to Transformation, continues to be the experience of living my life on a regular basis.
